Steve Lozic, OZY’s East Coast director of sales, is a native New Yorker, which means he most assuredly knows the score by now. Born in Queens with Shea Stadium as a backyard, he’ll forever bleed blue and orange. And largely on account of his blue-and-orange blood loss via living the life of a devout Mets fan, he is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, all over this up-for-any-challenge mentality.
Whether it’s rappelling down a waterfall in Central America, backpacking through Thailand, hostel-bouncing through Europe or jumping out of an airplane, he’s in. But what no one can ever understand is why his knees quiver when he looks at a picture of a hot-air balloon. And just in case you were checking: This inexplicable fear applies to the Ferris wheel, even if riding in the front row of a roller coaster is no problemo.
This insatiable appetite and thirst for adventure also extends to his lifelong quest to find the best cheeseburger in the world (don’t get him started on a Shake Shack versus In-N-Out debate) and the hoppiest craft brew. Speaking of lifelong quests, the world is still full of baseball stadiums, music festivals, zoos and aquariums that need to be conquered. And he will conquer them.
