Why you should care

Because it’s YOUR money.

People get jobs all the time. Last December? End of 2016? Yeah, about 156,000 Americans did so and with an unemployment rate at about 4.7 percent in that same period, that’s a lot of people working. A lot of people who might find it strange to discover on their first day to have their start ushered in by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, the Rockettes, Ted Nugent or, heavens to Betsy Ross, Kid Rock.

Yet the now-all-day event that we’ll find ourselves in the grips of on Friday, January 20, the inauguration of the 45th president of the United States, Donald Trump, is, as it’s been in modern times, a media monster that starts at 6 in the morning, California time, and just keeps on keeping on. For? Yes: the worst job in America.

So the question remains: Shouldn’t we err on the side of short and sweet so our public servants can get back to serving the public toot sweet? Eugenious wants to know.
